Personal Training

CORE Personal Training is different from every other personal training facility in the area. We use a type of training called “Functional Training” that is not only excellent for overall fitness but also easy on the bones, joints and muscles.

 
Functional training mainly involves weight-bearing activities that incorporate the entire body into most movements. This allows the entire body to adapt by coordinating itself to perform the movements efficiently, thereby making it more functional for all the activities of living or sport. Most fitness facilities have a variety of weight training machines which use linear motions to target and isolate specific muscles. As a result, the movements do not necessarily bear any relationship to the movements people make in their regular activities or sports. There are no isolated or linear movements in functional training. There are also no heavy weights. Each exercise is performed through multiple planes of motion using light resistance or body resistance.
Functional training is appropriate for everyone. It is a great way to lose weight and stay healthy. If you have a history of health problems, injuries, surgeries, or inactivity, our Exercise Physiologists are trained to work with all populations. We can make a difference in your life. Functional training is also perfect for the fit, athletic individual. In our combined 13 years of training, we have yet to meet someone who we could not challenge through this type of exercise.
